I invented this nice neat work tool for filmmakers. Since 1997, we are very proud to be celebrating our years in production. The CineViewer, has been the only pocket-able director’s viewfinder used by Directors, Cinematographers, Location Managers, Videotographers, students and filmmakers the world over.
Six Mattes are housed compactly in a tough leather wallet-styled case. Each of the six lens angle mattes are calibrated to S.M.P.T.E. standards and are of Academy Aperture with a view of 1 to 1.85 ratio. Lens angles range from 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm & 100mm. The mattes are made of aluminum with a durable lifetime textured black powder coating. Each matte is easy to read for quick identification showing the lens angle in the feature film format. Each CineViewer is handmade in America.
The CineViewer, provides the user with a quick view of scene, a possible location, rehearsal and so on. The more automated a piece of equipment is, the more we become less passionate about our work and lack of involvement. The CineViewer, forces you to become more involved with your lens angle and scene. It makes you think more intently about your work and the creative process of filmmaking.
